The Federation of Korean Drycleaners Association (FKDA) with 32 local branch associations has been in association for 20 years and represents 15,000 Korean dry cleaners in the U.S. We have made efforts to extend Korean dry cleaner's rights and interests, promote mutual relationship among members and provide dry cleaning-related education in the last two decades.
Throughout the entire industry, Internet has been recognized as not only the source of infinite information but also a progressive marketing tool and a strategy for survival. Most businesses are becoming aware of the real value of the Internet and are utilizing it intensively as the method to generate revenue.
The trend has influenced the Korean dry cleaner community and as a result, we, FKDA, are pursuing the vision to make the official website (www.fkda.org) as the center ground for carrying out the following 4 main tasks.
Linking Dry Cleaners to Vendors
Maximizing the efficiency of FKDA management
Providing valuable education and information for members
Strengthening members' awareness of vendors
Through the official web site (www.fkda.org), we will collect members' needs to be reflected on setting the organizational goals, educate members for environmental regulation, state know-how of dry cleaner management, etc. Also the official site will be a place for the Korean-American dry cleaners to share many tales of their immigrant life and this will raise the awareness of the community.
